Be careful never to marry against your parents wishes except on conditions when they are telling you not to marry that boy or girl because he/she is poor and of another tribe.
But as long as they tell you not to marry him or her based on family background, religious background; someone from a different religion or a non-believer, and other factors that they may sense dangerous for your future, please obey them.
Parents have been blessed by God with perception. They have intuition (immediate recognition or perception of things).
Have you ever wondered how a woman is able to know a problem with a baby who can not even talk. The baby does not show or point to her where the problem is, but She can be able to tell that the baby has the problem with the stomach or with the hand, or with the head. And when she perceives, she will be exact not guess work. She does this without any machine to scan the problem. What is that sense that she uses for scanning the problem? That is what they call intuition, a supernatural perception of things. They ability to know things supernaturally.
You find that she does not need to be a prophet to perceive that. She just intuits it.
Therefore, that woman who could perceive sickness and the exact problem in you even at the time you could not point at the problem your self that was affecting you when you were a baby, can percieve that your relationship will be problematic and that it won’t work out.
There is an old saying that goes this way, “An old person can see when he is seated what a young person can not see when standing.”
This simply has to do with the perceptive ability in old people. There is a tendency of young people thinking that they are wiser than their parents, and make decisions based on assumptions, but old people make decisions based on experiences in life which they have encountered.
If your parents and your whole family is not okay with that relationship that are entering or have already entered, please drop it out with immediate effect now!!! Because if you insist, they will not release their blessing to that marriage of yours. And I want to assure you, your relationship won’t work. You will cry in that relationship as never before. You will curse why you were born.
As I speak right now there are some people who are even in this group who made such decisions to marry against their parents wishes, and their witness to what I am talking about is tears, misery, pain, regrets frustration and the such. If I would ask them to testify, they would warn young people with tears.

The Power of the Name

Let’s look at this upon Moses and God in Exodus 3. In the first time that God called Moses from the burning bush, the first thing that Moses demanded was to know the name of the God who was speaking to him. Moses wanted to know which God was speaking and sending him.
Moses said that okay, I hear you saying that you are the God of our fathers, but that is not enough. “ And Moses said unto God, behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say unto me, WHAT IS HIS NAME ? What will I say unto them? v.13 . The living Bible puts it this way, “ If I go to the people of Israel and tell them that their father’s God has sent me, they will ask, WHICH GOD ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? What will I tell them v.13.

God first replies by telling Moses WHO HE IS, before telling him his name.
He told Moses, “I will become that I will become… אהיה אשר אהיה… Eheyeh asher Eheyeh, v.14 (This transliteration is from the Hebrew Bible). He told Moses that I will become what I will become. This is the phrase that is translated to “… I AM That IAM. But in Hebrew Bible it translates “I WILL BECOME WHAT I WILL BECOME…”
I am peace (Yahuah shalom)!
I am the provider (Yahuah Yireh)!
I am the almighty (El-shaddai)!
I am the creator (Yahuah Yotser)!
I am your healer (Yahuah Rapha)!
I am you buckler (Yahuah Nissi)!
I will become all the attributes of power, love, goodness, abundance and all blessings etc.
When Moses heard of this God who said that all those attributes are contained in him, Moses really got a new perspective that thrilled him greatly.
The God who alone had the joint and collective attributes of all the gods and goddesses of Egypt and Midian! Wow! This one was different from all other gods. It was a blessing to serve this God. It is a blessing to serve this God.
The Father said that, I am not just like the gods that you know. About the gods of Egypt where one god is only believed to be powerful, and the different one is known to be the provider, and another a healer, and yet a different one the protector, and another for fertility, and another for rain, another for destruction, and so on. But for me who is speaking to you, I will become all that! I am; provider, protector, deliverer, healer, peace, all powerful, present everywhere, knowing everything, and the list goes on and on.
For me I will become all those qualities. I am all those qualities, and will become all that I will become. That is me who is speaking to you.
When the Lord told Moses when He is, this just fascinated Moses and he remained greatly amazed.

After telling Moses who he is, then he tells him His name in verse 15 . “And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, Yahuah יהוה (Jehovah, or Yahweh) God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is HIS NAME FOR EVER , and this is my memorial unto all generations… The elders of the people of Israel will hearken to your voice: and you shall go with them, to the king of Egypt and tell him, ‘ Yahuah יהוה (Jehovah or Yahweh) the God of the Hebrews, has met with us and instructed us to go three days journey into the desert to sacrifice to him. Give us your permission, verses 15, 18”.
Moses demanded to know which God was speaking and sending him.
Why did Moses desire to know the name of this God who was speaking and sending him?
This was because Moses knew that there were so many gods and goddesses each identified with his or her name. Moses was raised up in Egypt and he knew all the Gods of the Egyptians each with his or her specific name. He was wondering, which one among the gods and goddesses that I know is speaking to me now.
And he wanted this same one who was speaking to him to specify and identify himself with his personal name. He said, what is your name? The big question here was not just telling Moses that ‘I am the God of your fathers’, but the question was, “What is your name? Which God is this one speaking?
I tell you, when The Lord told Moses Who He is and His Name, this was never heard of before before. Among the gods of EGYPT there was no one like the one Moses discovered that day. The relationship changed.
Moses went boldly to speak to the Israelites and then to Pharaoh of this God that He had known by name.
What Moses asked for was more than a Name, He was a person. He gave Moses the power to work miracles. Oh yes, this God of Moses that I serve is a miracle worker. His power has no parameters. He is indescribable God.
What I can tell you is, “He can be to you how much you have known him.” He can become to you how much you know Him

Today’s Sermon

In our Series of Church Planting and Church Growth, we shall be able to understand what Church Planting and Church Growth is and how target evangelism real accelerates these two things.

Title: Target Evangelism.
Text: Matthew 10:11-13
And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
And when ye come into an house, salute it.
And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

Church planting and Church Growth is as a Result of target Evangelism.
A target is an objective goal. Target Evangelism is done in a specific geographical area, homes, individuals or a class one is attempting to reach with an evangelistic message.
We target places,
We target homes,
We target individuals

This was what Paul did. He could target individual families and synagogues.

Paul was about target Evangelism.
Jesus was about target Evangelism.
Philip was about target evanglism.
The early church was about target evanglism.

When Jesus wanted to reach many people in Samaria, he targeted only one woman at the well. When he won this woman, it was this woman who went about telling everyone in their City about this man who told her everything that she ever did. All came to Jesus to hear him because of the testimony of this one woman that Jesus touched with the Word of knowledge. After this miraculous revelation there was evanglism explosion. She went running and told one person, then the second and when she was telling the third the first two had began telling others what she had told them.
Some people would ask, why is that woman running. They answered, That woman is telling people of the man who is seated at the well. What is wrong with him. Oh, they said, she speaks of this man who is at the well. She said it is her first time to meet with him but he told her every secret about her private life. Could this be true? Let’s go right there to verify if the story is true or a hoax and ascertain the rumors.
Others would ask, what did she tell you. She told me of a man who told her everything that she ever did. Did she tell him about her private life? No, she never told him, and what surprised her is this one thing, how this man was able to tell her all that she ever did moreover things concerning her private life which she has been hiding from everyone. This could be true they said. We all know that this woman is an adulterous woman and she has been fearing to identify with people because of her manner of life. And for us to see her running from house to house telling this, the story should be true, let’s go and see. For this woman to gain all this confidence running around, there should be something so serious.
Some went and knocked at the doors of others. When they came out, they asked, did you see the woman who is moving from house to house. Some said, yes, and others said no, and yet others said some one told me about what she told him.
Others would ask, what is going on? The answer was like, it is about a woman who says that there is a man down there at our well who told her everything that she has ever done. She never told him anything about her private life, but to her greatest surprise, he was able to tell her all that she has ever done. That is so shocking, they said. We better go and see that man to prove this rumour that is circulating.
And the report circulated like a nuclear explosion.
If not because of targeting and winning this one woman, reaching those hundreds that came to the well would have been so difficult. He would have experienced much resistance reaching them one by one. You even see that it took some resistance to win this one woman had it not been because of the supernatural word of knowledge about this woman’s situation.

When Jesus sent his disciples out in Matthew 10, he gave them this strategy of target Evangelism. He tells them to Target houses, homes and individuals.
So for us to experience success in church planting and see our churches grow, then we must embrace target evangelism.

HOWAP

     THE THREE SUPREME CALLS

Supreme is the Greatest, most excellent, extreme, most superior, highest, or utmost. the highest.
The Three Supreme calls simply are “the Three Highest calls or The Three Greatest Calls”.

1. The call to COME
   We have been called from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light. Jesus has called you from sin into repentance. From evil to righteous Living.
   Matthew 11:28 “COME TO ME, all you who are weary and burdened,
   and I will give you rest.” NIV
   Jesus came and called us into salvation. But salvation is not the end of itself. We must graduate to another level of being disciples. We are converted from sin to salvation, but Christ never came to just make us converts, he came to make us disciples. Get ready for Discipleship.
2. The Call To BE
   This is the call “To Be” disciples. We are not just saved, we have been called to become disciples.
   Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and LEARN FROM ME, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. NIV
   John 8:31 “So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples” Amp
   Who is a disciple? A disciple is A Learner! Through learning from Jesus, we are turned into disciples. This is what it means to be disciples of Jesus.
3. The Call To Go_ Make.
   Matthew 28:19-20, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” NLT
   We are not just called to be disciples. We are called to go to make disciples. We are called to go and multiply. God’s ultimate purpose from the beginning is multiplication. When he made man, his last command to man was, multiply and fill the earth. When Jesus called his disciples, he turned them into disciples, then his last command to them was go and make _ multiply. Go and turn nations (people from every nation) into disciples.

The point here is; As Jesus has called you to Himself.
You begin learning from Jesus through His Word_ being a disciple.
Then, You have to go and make others learn what you have learnt from Jesus. This is Discipleship.

We have been called to Come.
We have been called to Be disciples
We have been called to Go and Make disciples.

Reaching our Hurting World with the Love of God in order to bring Healing and Deliverance.
Our Vision incorporates the Ladder of Success: 1) Win. 2) Consolidate. 3) Disciple. 4) Send.
1) Win: Winning is all about bringing people to Christ. It is about rescuing people from this world and leading them to Christ.
2) Consolidate: Consolidating people is all about helping people clearly understand what salvation is about and what it takes to follow Christ wholeheartedly. We must be actively involved in the person’s life after conversion until they get into relationship with God and us.
3) Disciple: Discipling people is all about helping them to grow and become mature believers. It is about training people and raising them up to be good stewards of their time, their money and their gifts. We must be actively involved in a person’s life to love them, help them grow and become mature in Christ.
4) Send: Sending people is all about mission and multiplication. After we disciple a person we ask them to repeat the process and disciple another person. We also plant churches as missions is a big part of our vision.
